Promise Amahah

PROMISE AMAHAH is a Young farmer (Rice & Maize value chains), Agribusiness Expert and Development Consultant. His wealth of experience in the Agribusiness sector spans over 10yrs of engagements both in the public and private sector.

Promise has worked on several Agribusiness projects across Nigeria including the strategy and operations of Agrotek (producers of Southern Grains) where he served as Head of Strategy, founded of the first tablet Fertiliser tested and certified by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and included in the Growth Enhancement Program, a distinguished member of the National Technical Working Group (NTWG) in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD)

He studied Geology at the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Promise Amahah is the Director General/National Coordinator of the Nigerian Young Farmers Network with over 2 million members nationwide.

Promise has served as consultant for National Program for Food Security (NPFS), Nigerian Army, Iyatu Farms, Zaidan Group, Magma Group, National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA), Federal Ministry of Environment, Intrazones Group Ltd, Delta State Government Ministry of Agriculture, among others.

He was a West African delegate to the UN World Youth Alliance 1st African Emerging Leaders Conference in Nairobi, Kenya (2010), Recipient of Top 12 Nigeria Youth Awards, Winner - National Clean Energy Innovation Challenge Nigerian Army IDP's Agribusiness Training Consultant. Promise was also a delegate to the Russian-African Economic Forum.

Currently authoring three books to be published, namely,

  1. Agribusiness 101: Foundation for Food Security,
  2. Climate Change & Global warming: The past, the present and the future.
